Summer Trip (:
August 7, 2011
Ramadan is here :)
The begining of August marks the begining of Ramadan for muslims. Durring this holy month
muslims fast, we do not eat or drink from sun rise ( 4 am) until sunset ( 8:15 ) pm for 30 days. This is a time for muslims to cleanse themselves and to realize how many good things they have in the world. It is a time for the rich to give charity and to fast to feel how the poor feel and a time for the poor to recieve charity to feel what it feels like to have the bounty of this world. If we eat something durring the day, drink something, tell a lie, loose patience, yell at someone, anything harmful to another or a being our fast is broken. So we must be strict in trying to change for the better and become better people.
This time is a busy time for muslims, from early morning prayers to late night prayers there isnt much time even left for sleep. I will try to open classes so I can continue to enjoy conversations with my students. I hope you are all in good health and have lasting happiness for your days :)
