When does spring happen? You may want to start a tradition of keeping a seasonal journal. Start with Spring. Then do each season in a different journal. Start by writing down what Spring means to you. It could mean a rebirth where you cast off the trouble

What is the meaning of spring ?

The very word "Spring" can bring a smile to a person's face. After a cold, snowy and miserable winter, many people are more than ready to see the first shoots of Spring flowers. Spring is a joyous season that is beloved for so many reasons.

Take a few moments to think about what Spring means to you.

You may want to start a tradition of keeping a seasonal journal. Start with Spring. Then do each season in a different journal. Start by writing down what Spring means to you.

It could mean a rebirth where you cast off the troubles of winter and enter a new "season" in your life.

It could mean cleaning out closets to rid yourself of too many objects. The lighter you make your load in life, the happier you will be.

It could mean birthing a new business doing something you love or deciding to redo your home with new colors

When does it occur in your Country?

Spring begins with the vernal equinox at 7:02 A.M. (EDT) onMarch 20, 2013 in the Northern Hemisphere. Here’s more about the start of spring, signs of spring, and stunning spring photos!

The Vernal Equinox

Ah, spring! This season brings increasing daylight, warming temperatures, and the rebirth of flora and fauna.

The word equinox is derived from the Latin words meaning “equal night.” Days and nights are approximately equal everywhere and the Sun rises and sets due east and west.

What are your first feelings when you see the first sprouts in the soil?

.

After several months of frigid weather most people become anxious for signs of spring, and while crocus are considered by many to be the first spring flowers, there are many minor bulbs that bloom even earlier.

These plants are usually short in stature and have smaller flowers, but when planted in mass, they are as effective and powerful in the landscape as larger flowering bulbs such as tulips and daffodils.

Minor bulbs are often overlooked in favor of the showier larger bulbs such as daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths that bloom later in the year, but minor bulbs have a very useful and important place in the home landscape because they extend the season of bloom, giving every gardener a "jump on spring" and a longer time to enjoy flowering bulbs.

Like other spring flowering bulbs, they are best purchased and planted in the fall, so while you may not be able to go out and buy them today, you can certainly print this article out and be ready to buy the bulbs as soon as they become available later in the year. Knowing ahead of time what you want to buy is a great advantage because you will have the benefit of having the best selection before bulb suppliers run out of stock.

So without further ado, here are a few harbingers of spring to look for in gardens over the next few weeks, or to consider planting in your yard or garden this fall.

The first bird that you know is spring is the robin and her beautiful red breast, so welcome to see her.

The days of spring mean first to me freedom of wearing heavy winter clothing, boots , mitts , hats and scarfs. The extreme cold and ice that means a restriction of going out due to the cold and walking on the slippery snow and ice. Driving is a difficulty with the winter weather of slippery roads and white out conditions and the increase of accidents and fender benders.

Spring brings a ritual of nice new clothes and the ability to walk and see neighbours who you have not seen all winter as we tend to hibernate in our homes and not see each other.

Spring we share and talk as we work on our gardens and see the the children and how much they have grown and hear the local news.
